Just over a year ago, LARMO succeeded in recovering Libyan artefacts that were illegally brought to the United States. We thank all the efforts made to recover those magnificent pieces which belong the Cyrene region, one of the greatest intellectual centres of the Classical world.

This milestone is considered a great success for LARMO and the Libyan state, and a significant step towards the preservation of Libyan cultural and identity. The recovery of such assets remains too infrequent across the world, and when it happens it reflects hard work, dedication, and a strong will to preserve the cultural heritage.

LARMO reiterates its thanks to the Libyan Antiquities Authority, the US government, the @UNICRI, and all the parties that contributed to the safe return of these pieces to their country of origin.
