Regular Meeting of the Libyan Asset Recovery and Management Office to Review International Agreements

A regular meeting was held under the chairmanship of the DireyGeneral of the Libyan Asset Recovery and Management Office, along with several directors and experts from the office. The meeting focused on discussing and evaluating a set of important international agreements that should be utilized, as they will facilitate Libya’s dealings with host countries, particularly in legal matters.

Among these agreements, reference was made to the UNIDROIT Convention on Stolen or Illegally Exported Cultural Objects and the Asset Protection Law, which the office presented and found acceptance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the Director General emphasized the importance of ongoing cooperation between the office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. He also expressed the office’s readiness to celebrate the International Day of International Agreements, which will be held next September.

This meeting reflects the office’s commitment to enhancing international cooperation in the areas of recovering cultural and tangible assets and strengthening institutional work to achieve shared goals.
